Reading and editing Vi.ki is free. A plan lets you start video wikis of your own, each at its own name.vi.ki address, where your edits go live at once and you decide what other people add.

What is a viki?

A wiki about one thing, at its own address, where every key paragraph carries a moment: a timestamped clip from a YouTube video that plays beside it, so what a page says comes with the footage that shows it. Photos sit in the text and on a wall. How Vi.ki works.

What do I get when I start one?

A new viki at the address you choose. You write its pages and your edits go live at once. Anybody signed in can suggest an edit or add a photo, and you approve or decline each one from the viki's admin page, where you also set its name, tagline and home page. It starts unlisted, reachable only by its address, and you list it on Vi.ki's front page and in search engines when it is ready.

Who can help me run it?

On Premium and Max you add people by the email they sign in with, on each viki, and they approve edits and photos with you. They need only a free account.

What happens if my plan ends?

Your vikis stay, with every page and photo, but they are unlisted: still at their addresses, off the front page and out of search engines, and their edits wait for Vi.ki's own admins. Choose a plan again and you look after them again, with everyone you added.

Can I change plans?

Any time, right here: Upgrade or Downgrade on another plan, or Manage your plan on yours to cancel or update your card. A bigger plan starts at once: you pay its price less what is left of the old one, and a new period starts that day. A smaller one starts when the period you paid for ends. If it covers fewer vikis than you started, the extra ones are unlisted, as if their plan had ended; you choose which ones it keeps, and can change your choice whenever you like.

How do I pay?

By card, monthly or yearly, in US dollars; a year costs ten months. Premium starts with 7 days free and asks for no card. Payments go through Stripe, run for Vi.ki by Heart Photos, so Vi.ki never sees your card. Stripe emails your receipts, and the billing portal lists every invoice. Cancel whenever you like: the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.

Who owns what I write?

You do, and you publish it under CC BY-SA 4.0, like every page on Vi.ki. See the license and the terms.
